ABOUT GRAND MESA

We were founded in 2010 as the only independent Nephrology practice in the Grand Valley area. We are also the only nephrology practice with offices in Montrose, CO and affiliations with both St. Mary’s Medical Center and Community Hospital. In addition, we are affiliated with Dialysis Clinic Inc, the only non profit dialysis provider on the Western Slope.

Our goal is to always provide excellent care to our patients in Grand Valley, Western Colorado, and Eastern Utah.

 

Joseph Harawi

MD

Dr. Harawi has been in practice in Grand Junction since 2010. He studied medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at Tufts University in Boston, MA. He completed his nephrology training at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He is board certified in both internal medicine and nephrology. Dr. Harawi is an avid photographer and you can see some of his photos on this site and in our office in Grand Junction. He lives in Grand Junction with his wife and their two young sons.

Wendy M. Vaerewyck

MPAS, PA-C

Wendy moved from Denver to Grand Junction to join the practice in 2018. She completed her Physician Assistant training in Philadelphia in 2002. Her medical background includes Gastroenterology, Urgent Care, and the challenging experience of providing Primary Care in an under served borough of London, England. She and her black lab, Lexi, are enjoying the change of pace on the Western Slope.
